Our Christian Philosophy of Education
Image of God
We believe every student is created in God's image, inherently valuable and unique. Our mission is to help each student discover their potential and blossom as God designed them, rather than being "squeezed into the world's mold" (Romans 12:2). We are committed to an educational model that celebrates and honors the individuality of each learner.
Community of Love
Following Jesus' command to "love one another" (John 13:35), our school's first commitment is to be a community of love. This love is the central evidence of our Christian identity and provides a safe space for students to make mistakes, explore, and learn without fear.
Growth and Flourishing
Education at our school is focused on holistic growth, encompassing intellectual, spiritual, physical, and social development. Just as Jesus grew in wisdom and stature (Luke 2:52), we foster an environment where students can expand their minds to glorify God. Teachers are also seen as perpetual learners, constantly developing their skills to better serve the students.
Active Participation
We believe education is not merely about accumulating knowledge but about action. Our students are encouraged to be "doers" (James 1:22) through active participation, service, and inquiry. The goal is for them to engage with the world, resisting its lies and renewing their minds with truth.
Renewing the Mind
We seek to help students see the world as it truly is, grounded in truth (Colossians 2:7). Education is a process of renewing the mind, resisting the world's negative influences, and developing a mindset centered on God. This approach focuses on helping students flourish and ultimately, to worship God with their whole being.
Statement of Faith
We affirm the beliefs of the Apostle’s Creed:
I believe in God,
the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;
he descended into hell;
on the third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty;
from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.
